Not business as usual, but it takes a lot to stop me.

Well it's been awhile since I've tried to blog, but here we go again. If there's one thing we can always depend on it is CHANGE! For me the past 5 years I've seen a lot of change!!! My name changed, my location changed, my priorities changed and some things went away including my former blog. I had archived some posts but can't find them now so lets just consider this a fresh start.
Life changed for almost everyone in 2020. Covid crippled my business and was very hard for me mentally. I'm grateful I have made it though mostly unscathed. It showed me I'm stronger than I knew. The down time gave me valuable time to look at my life and adjust things to head more in the direction of being a life I love.
I felt called to help other small businesses as we were coming out of the pandemic so I volunteered as the Executive Director of the Uzona Chamber of Commerce. I put my own businesses on the back burner and poured myself, heart and soul into building the local Chamber of Coomerce. After 2 years focusing on them I realized that my efforts were not valued by the people I dealt with daily, the chamber board. It stung... but I realized No one has time to waste in this life so I left that position and re-adjusted to focus on re-building my business and fueling my own creative fire.
I also decided my personal life needed more creativity and fun , so I have also been working on my lifetime list (a list I wrote at 12 yrs old) to get in touch with the child inside of me. My list includes a lot of travel and learning new things, pushing me out of my comfort zone and tackling new challenges. Some things I may never do but I'm sure going to try! For several of my bucket list items I needed to be able to scuba dive so I learned. For me it was a big a challenge because the equipment makes me feel claustrophobic! This past spring, at the age of 53, my lifetime dream of scuba diving in the Caribbean finally came true. I also crossed a few more items off my list as I visited mayan ruins and swam in a cenote on that same trip.
I am so excited to be back using my creative energy and skills to help businesses showcase their products and services with professional images. It's fulfilling to see that my creativity can have an impact on my clients lives and help them grow their sales, which in the long run makes their lives better.
So if you want to follow along with me on this journey, stay tuned.
